the warmth before the word

A fragrance has no image. That is the brief. Vanilla Skin is not a smell you describe, it is a temperature you recognise, and the film had to find a way to let a camera feel it.

It was shot in the hour when the light is still low and the skin still warm. No studio, no hard key, no gloss. The bottle sits on a nightstand the way it would in a real room, and the camera stays close enough to read the grain of light falling on skin.

project overview

The campaign extended past the film. A guerrilla layer carried the same idea into physical space, where the product met people without a media buy and without a stage, letting proximity do the work a billboard cannot.

Concept, production, direction and final edit were handled end to end by NS Image.
